Robert Clough is one of the more generous comic critics out there. He literally takes the time to review anything you send him and he’s made a big difference in the lives of the little-guy cartoonists of us out there who are just beginning to crawl into the comics community. I just got a delivery from Retrofit of a couple Box Brown and Roman Muradov comics. I went for the fall subscription, and I'm excited to read them. I don't know a lot about this side of comics yet, though I know a lot of people in it. Do you have any recommendations, either for other good subscriptions or creators in general? I'll read anything you put in front of me, really.

Besides the big anthologies, you’ll want to check out the Mini-Kuš series.
Oily Comics: This group puts out 12-page comics from a lot of different cartoonists. Many of the Oily comics are longer-running serials which is pretty rare in the artcomics scene.
Sam Alden is a cartoonist who has a bunch of comics out. This single-issue short story is worth your while, I think.
